Update 1: Cooking with Gas Town

This is our inaugural update (trumpets).
The aim is to provide a recap on what we have been up to this week.
So without further ado…
This week, we have been looking at an exciting open source project called Gas Town.
Gas Town is a multi-agent orchestration. In layman’s terms, it enables a structured approach to the simultaneous utilisation of multiple AI coding agents. Why is this necessary/good? Because manually coordinating the work of multiple agents is only feasible up to a few.
Like many AI-native startups, we have been exploring how to use AI coding agents for some time, though we have only recently started making real use of them. This is, in part, because they are such a new technology.
Having experienced the efficiency gains from manually coordinating a few agents, we are really excited by the possibilities offered by Gas Town and look forward to sharing more about our experiences in the coming weeks and months.
In other news, our research efforts continue in force. We have had a number of fascinating discussions this week with SENCOs in a range of different school settings, and are incredibly grateful for their giving up their nonexistent free time to speak with us.
To gain as balanced a perspective as possible on the challenges facing those involved with SEN provision, we are approaching schools across the UK, both state and privately funded. If you know of anyone involved with SEN provision who would be willing to talk to us about their experience, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Finally, we are really looking forward to attending Tes SEND Show North 2026 in Manchester next week and learning more about the sector’s most pressing issues – from autism and speech to SEMH, inclusion, and safeguarding.
We wish you a fantastic weekend.
